The Carveri Rasbora

The Carveri Rasbora (Rasbora caverii) is a small, schooling freshwater fish commonly found in shaded streams and slow-moving waters across Sinharaja Rainforest. Its streamlined body and coordinated movement allow it to navigate gently flowing habitats with ease.

Feeding on microinvertebrates and plant matter, it plays an important role in maintaining ecological balance within freshwater systems. Its presence is often associated with stable, undisturbed aquatic environments.
